Stop safely every time — no exceptions
Brake Repair & Replacement in Dallas, TX
Your brakes are the most important safety system on your vehicle. DallasAutoCarePros provides complete brake system diagnosis, repair, and replacement — from basic pad changes to full rotor machining, caliper rebuilds, and brake fluid flushes.
About This Service
When you press the brake pedal, you are trusting your life and the lives of everyone around you to a system of pads, rotors, calipers, lines, and fluid working in perfect harmony. Worn brake pads, warped rotors, or contaminated brake fluid can dramatically increase your stopping distance and put you at risk. Our ASE-certified brake technicians diagnose the exact issue, explain it clearly, and get your brakes back to factory-spec performance. Every brake job includes a test drive to verify the repair.
What's Included
Every brake repair & replacement service at DallasAutoCarePros is thorough and transparent. Here is exactly what you get.
Brake Pad Replacement
We use premium ceramic or semi-metallic pads matched to your vehicle specifications. Ceramic pads produce less dust, are quieter, and last longer in typical Dallas driving conditions.
Rotor Resurfacing or Replacement
If your rotors are within specification, we can machine them to a smooth, true surface. If they are too thin or cracked, we replace them with new rotors that meet or exceed OEM tolerances.
Caliper Inspection & Service
Sticking or seized calipers cause uneven pad wear and reduced braking power. We inspect calipers for proper slide pin movement, piston seal condition, and replace them if needed.
Brake Fluid Flush
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and can cause spongy pedal feel or brake fade. We flush the entire system with fresh DOT-spec fluid.
Brake Line Inspection
We check all hard lines and flexible hoses for corrosion, cracking, leaks, and bulging. Damaged brake lines are a safety hazard and are replaced immediately.
Warning Signs to Watch For
If you notice any of these symptoms, bring your vehicle in as soon as possible. Early attention prevents expensive repairs.
Our Brake Repair & Replacement Process
Here is exactly what happens when you bring your vehicle in for brake repair & replacement service.
Free Brake Inspection
We pull the wheels, visually inspect pad thickness, rotor condition, caliper operation, brake lines, and fluid color. We measure rotor thickness and runout with precision instruments.
Detailed Estimate
We explain exactly what we found, what needs to be replaced, and what can wait. You get a written estimate with parts and labor broken out. No work begins until you approve the quote.
Expert Repair
Our technicians replace worn components, clean and lubricate slide pins and contact points, apply anti-squeal compound, and bed in the new pads using the proper break-in procedure.
Test Drive & Verify
Every brake job includes a road test to verify proper pedal feel, even stopping, no noise, and no vibration. We will not release your vehicle until the brakes perform to specification.

Brake Repair & Replacement FAQ
Common questions about brake repair & replacement service. Have a question not listed here? Call us at (214) 555-0187.
How long do brake pads typically last?
Brake pad life varies widely based on driving habits, vehicle weight, and pad material. In typical Dallas driving with a mix of highway and city, most brake pads last between 30,000 and 60,000 miles. Heavy city driving with frequent stops will wear pads faster. We recommend an inspection every 12,000 miles so you can plan ahead rather than wait for the grinding noise.
Is it safe to only replace brake pads without replacing rotors?
It depends on the rotor condition. If your rotors are within the minimum thickness specification and do not have deep grooves, cracks, or excessive runout (warping), then new pads alone are fine. We always measure rotors before making a recommendation. Putting new pads on a damaged rotor will cause uneven wear, noise, and reduced braking performance.
Why does my steering wheel shake when I brake?
Steering wheel vibration during braking is almost always caused by rotor runout — meaning the rotor surface is no longer perfectly flat. This is commonly called warped rotors. It happens from heat cycling, over-torqued lug nuts, or simply age. The fix is either machining the rotors back to true or replacing them if they are too thin to resurface.
Do you offer a warranty on brake work?
Yes. All brake repairs at DallasAutoCarePros are backed by our 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty. This covers both parts and labor. If a brake component we installed fails within that window, we will replace it at no charge.
